Very useful... as the original function of regular japanese cellphone

Well ! Very useful to know before being shaked that you had better grab your helmet !!

Nice

Even if a registered keitai gets the warning slightly before (due to push relative slowness) this is great since we know if it worth to get under cover or just ignore it...

Nice, but...

It is a nice app, no doubt about it !! But I really regret that you dont let people choose the language of the app by themselves. My iPhone is in French and I dont want the app in English, I want it in Japanese ! Never choose for the customer, give him choices instead !

??

No english anymore

Great for gaijin living in Japan

Thank-you to the developers for porting this app into English. I had the Japanese version before the latest update and the English version really helps. Depending on your reception quality, the alerts may come at a decent time-frame or a bit late. Either way, its good info to have. Just keep alert and stay safe out there! Thanks again to the devs for the English version...! 

I got update today

But some errors. Menus are not showing correctly...iphone4

Looks great

Get a "connection error. Location will not be saved" message after setting up, every time. Tried wifi and network multiple times. Edit: after an update I am able to save. Seems good now, and I have changed my rating accordingly.

NO!

Dont shut it down on halloween! This app saves the lives of many people living in Japan. A strong earthquake can easily kill people. Sure, Japan has lots of early earthquake warning systems, but this is the only english app I could find for Japanese earthquake warnings! Please dont shut it down!

Money grab

A completely different app to earlier versions, the previous reviews no longer apply. Many updates mean the ratings are reset. The new subscription means that my previously purchased add-on now require me to pay again...and without paying monthly the app is virtually useless. They also mistakenly(!) issued an earthquake warning for a magnitude 9 class earthquake in central Tokyo..caused a lot of panic and worry for many people. Avoid this app and use the free y -who one instead. Much better and has faster notifications. Was once a really great app, now using it to grab as much money as possible from people fearing earthquakes. Disgusting.

Annoying English terminology

Thanks for listening! Please change the phrases accompanying the icons in the Shaking report section. Here are some suggestions to consider. Dont feel quake .... Felt nothing Be quake? ..... Slight tremor Little quake .... Medium quake Pretty quake .... Strong quake Oh my God! .... Very scary (or Terrifying)

Terrible

Terrifying false alarms and no alarm at all when a real and very large earthquake occurs...and they have the audacity to ask for a monthly fee.

Was better before "Premium" version

I have used this app for a long time and purchased the no ads and multiple locations options. Now RC Solutions thought it is better to pay a monthly fee for the "premium" version which does the same as my previous paid add-ons. There is even "High Speed Delivery". The only problem is that now the notification come slow or later than before. If you say it is a "Premium" subscription service then make sure your "Premium" services are working correctly. Definitely a step backward.

Great, useful

This app gives me about a 4 second heads up on quakes. I live in the Tokyo area. It uses your location to notify you of quakes and at what level you will feel them. Because of this I am not sure some one outside of Japan would be notified. It was notifying me late, earlier in the week, but now gives me notice in advance. Neat.

Very helpful!

This is an amazing app and it could spare your life...!! I live in the US, but Im worried about my friends and family in Japan, so I got this app to see how frequent they are getting aftershocks. I was surprised to see that it works anywhere you are! I am planning on using during my trip to Japan this summer.

English

How do you change the language to English? Id love this app If it came in English...is there a way or english version? Thanks

Great app...read about it on aramatheydidnt ^^

This is a really good app, and I plan to use it on my exchange trip to Japan this summer ^_~ it seems to be really helpful for warning people for earthquakes that could happen any moment, even if it only gives them a few seconds notice. I have friends who live in Japan, and it is also great to make sure they are alright! -@doyoulikebird_ from twitter

needs to be more specific

in the "settings" area, under "intensity notification", if you choose "all" thinking that you will receive notifications for all intensities then you will be surprised when you receive all earthquake warnings for japan, it cancels out the "location" that you choose. I think you should move the "all" choice to "location".

Latest update

I love this app! Its been an enormous help since we live just south of Tokyo. However, the latest update has created many problems with the notifications. The display has changed on many of the screens. It still notifies properly but doesnt work as well.
